Tons of oncoming new stuff

Hey all. Sorry for this long non-blog entries period. 

I'm glad to say that I've been really busy preparing some great projects for the next months. And that's why I've been neglecting the blog. Time to fix that.

So, here we go. First news I have for you is that I am finishing what will be my 2013 calendar. Don't worry, I'll let you know when it is ready. Below there are some sneak peeks from the illustrations you'll be able to find in it:

Now, let me make a little stop in the newsfeed: 

During the last weeks, there has been a lot of people asking me about the technique I use for my kraft paper illustrations. Well,  now I'm working on the calendar I took some process pictures of one of the pages so you can see better what my work process is like. as yo can see I only use colored pencils and here below is the proof.

Note: I tend to start with just one color and as I go  I add more tones

This is the scan I made from the finished illustration.

If you notice some colour incoherences between this, and the camera pictures they are due to 

how extremely difficult it is to scan colour pencil works. The lines allways look more sharp and harsh than they really are. I wish i could buy a good camera to take pictures instead of scanning. I 'm sure the images would look closer to reality... 

Also, if anyone has some hints on how to get better scans I'll be glad to hear about. Really.

Ilustrísima 2012 poster

Next December I'll take part in Ilustrísima 2012. If you are in Madrid between the 12th and the 16th you'll be able to find me selling some of my original artworks and also some merch in there. It will be located in the Museo ABC de la Ilustración tha is in Calle Amaniel, next to Plaza de España. 

During the market days there will be also a lot of activities related to ilustration.

Well, that's gonna be fun :)

And one more announcement. I'm preparing a solo show that will be happening next spring. I'm really excited about it and I hope I can give you more details soon.
