Ilustrísima 2012

Yesterday Ilustrísima 2012 finally closed it's doors and now it's time to share some pics and videos of the event.
This is a clip from TVE news about the art fair (in spanish)
And yes, I have my few seconds of glory on it :) Can you spot me?

And now some pictures!

My stand
Sorry for the poor illumination, the pictures I have of it with daylight
were all taken with my phone and the quality is terrible :S

Some curious visitors
Some visitors trying to get a better sight
Zuzanna Zelej and Nader Sharaf  works
Nikita Rodriguez talking to visitors
With yellow tee, El Rubencio
Kike de la Rubia re arranging his prints
Paper Pan papercut works.
Everyone where invited to sneak among hundreds of original artworks.
Sol Undurraga aka Mujer Gallina talking to a customer.

We were also invited to draw over the Museo ABC windows, so here I am during my "glass staining operation". We were provided with Posca Markers for the job

The picture was taken by one of my brothers, who kindly assisted me during all the fair.
It is good to have a big family :)

Finished!
I wish I had taken pictures of the rest of the works, I am a terrible reporter... I just have this one of Kike de la Rubia doing his thing

And one of the most amazing things about the fair was that we had the chance to see some of the most badasses spanish illustrators live drawing during the market hours.

Raúl Allén drawing on his iPad closely observed by Fernando Vicente
We also had the chance to see among others Enrique Flores, Javier Olivares, Fernando Vicente, Juan Ramón Alonso or Antonia Santolaya...

My balance? well... That. Was. Super. Fun.
I had the chance to talk with some of my favourite illustrators and meeting a lot of new ones. Very inspiring! Also, for someone who is used to work alone with the only company of a lamp and a cat, sharing my work with "other human beings" and seeing their reactions was kind of shocking. I tend to be very critic about my own work so hearing words of approval from so many different personalities was kind of a therapy. I feel nothing but humble gratitude for everyone who showed up and stopped by to chat with me.

And of course, thanks to Museo ABC and the artists collective Fatal de lo mío, who organized the event and gave us the opportunity of taking part on it.
